• Handling: disposable vapes are ready to use. Pod systems occasionally need new pods and have to be recharged.
• Environment: disposable vapes contain a battery and plastic and create more electronic waste than rechargeable devices. Empty devices belong in electronic waste collection, not in household rubbish.

Snus, nicotine pouches and snuff: no vapour at all

Some people want to consume nicotine without vapour. There are three smoke-free categories for this:

• Snus is a tobacco product from Sweden that is placed in pouches under the upper lip. Snus has been legal in Switzerland since 2019. Well-known brands include Siberia and Odens.
